PEM people

PEM People - people empowering people was established in 2010 as a non-profit social enterprise organisation to empower and build capacity to local residents to improve their local area and provide help in the form of skills training, employment, resource access and opportunities to hard to reach groups in South London. They currently have 4 projects – a bike project running bike workshops offering training and skills, a pop up shop, BMX Bike Club and Art Projects.

They are also involved in setting up the Livesey Exchange – a project to transform 60 vacant garages on the Ledbury Estate on the Old Kent road into spaces for making, training and cultural programmes. It will include Workshops, studios, multifunctional spaces and a training kitchen will surround an internal courtyard linked to a sports pitch. A multi-functional space and café form the main entrance from the Old Kent Road providing desk space for flexible working, meetings, events and socialsing.
